Congratulations to Nick G4FAL/G6ZZ in second place overall, and winning the HP Unassisted section.
Congratulations to John GM0OPS/MM9I in third place and to Gerard EI5KF in 4th place and the leading EI entrant. 22 out of the first 23 places are High Power entrants - the one exception being UKEICC team member Paul G4PVM in 5th place overall and the leading Low Power Assisted station. Good work Paul! The leading Low Power Unassisted station was Jiri OK2MBP in 36th place. We had 36 entries in the QRP section. The QRP winner was Tim G4ARI followed by Josef OK6OK (first in EU), both assisted and using single element antennas. Third and first in the 12 hour section, unassisted was Ed GM3C. The leading assisted stations were Adi PE2K (EU 2nd with a single element antenna in the 24h section) followed by Marian SP7M (3rd in Eu, 12 hour section). The top 3 DX QRP entries were Michiel TA/M0MPM, followed by Aris YD6ROA and Paulin YD9UW. Top DX station was Sergey P3X, followed by Sig N3RS, and Bud AA3B, all high power, assisted, 12 hours. The leading low power, assisted stations were Bill W1WBB (DX 4th) followed by Tim 4X1ST, and Sri YB9ELS. The leading DX unassisted stations were Gilbert ZD7BG folowed by Roger VA1RST and Puck W4PM. Top LP unassisted stations were Ali TA4RC followed by Vlad VE3TM and Robert WA2JQK. Top EU station was Jan 9A5Y (HP assisted, 12 hours), followed by Ted SN1T, and Nigel OE5TXF. The leading LP assisted entry was by the YL4WRTC team. The leading LP assisted, single op entries were Jozsef YQ6A, followed by Darek SP2R and Per SM2M. The leading EU LP entries were Jiri OK2MBP (LP, 24h) followed by Tibi HA7TM and Csaba HA2KMR (both HP, 12h). Top LP, 12h section was Alis LY7R (EU 19th). There were entries in the remote section (all 12h, assisted). The winner was John M5S/G4IRN (HP), followed by Jay LY4L (LP) and Mike K4RUM (HP). Congratulations to all the Section winners. Very high solar winds K-index primarily at 3 or above and no opening from NA to Eu om 10m (that path has been quite poor the last 45 days). Participation was almost entirely from Eu stations. Overall U.K./EI QSOs made up 28% of my log as I hunted their high contact point value plus mults (28 of 155 unique District Codes were logged). Missed GI GJ and GU. I was in S&P mode for 95% of my QSO's...running with Low Power was unproductive for me. Worked others participating in Helvetia (HB9) and Brazil contests plus a few SES contacts as well. Nice to work many excellent CW ops in this one. Thanks for the contacts! I continue to enjoy posting and watching the on-line Contesting Scoreboard...and encourage others to do so too. Feedback from the Adjudicators

Our adjudication software has been refined over the past 8 years and we have high confidence in the accuracy of the published results. However, no electronic adjudication process can be 100% accurate, so our adjudicators spend a reasonable amount of time checking things before we 'finalise' the results. Deciding which logged callsigns are genuine Uniques is one of the most challenging areas - in tens of thousands of QSOs there will always be some callsigns which are only worked by one station. Many Uniques turn out to be Busts - our software is very good at identifying these. After each UK/EI DX Contest we look carefully at any areas where the adjudication software could be improved. We also listen to any suggestions from entrants for improvements to the Rules and Awards processes. We were unlucky this year with poor propagation conditions, but participation should improve in future years as we head towards the peak of Solar Cycle 25.
