80m SSB Contest - 4th February 2026

The final results for 4th February 2026 are below. Conditions were lots of medium distance QSOs, but no QSOs over 2500 km. The longest QSO was SE2P and F4MAG at 2308km. Some entrants reported that the band was noisy. The results is very close. Mark EI6JK was first, only 2 points ahead of Per SE2P, followed by Chris GM2V only 4 points behind. Gordon MM2N was 4th and Tim G8X was 5th. All these were high power entries. First low power and 6th overall was Brian GM4JYB. Second low power was Graham G7D and third low power was Alfons DR6T. David G4ERW won the QRP section (the only entry). We received 75 logs. We were pleased to get 19 logs from EI stations. 31 different EI callsigns appear in the logs. This contest is the first where self-spotting is allowed. Please remember that you are only allowed to spot yourself once every 10 minutes. This is an experiment that runs for the remainder of the 2025/26 season. We welcome feedback on this experiment, either in your soapbox or via the UKEICC io group. Thanks to the bonus station operators Roger EI8KN and Stewart G3RXQ. 73 The UKEICC Adjudicators
