DX SSB Contest - 31st Aug. / 1st Sept. 2019 - Results

Thank you for taking part in the UKEICC DX contest (SSB). Conditions were challenging with disturbed geo-magnetic activity and the K-index over the weekend at 4 to 5. Entries were down this year - 155 entrants compared with 220 entrants last year. Congratulations to Andy G1A/M0NKR on winning the Kenwood SSB Cup and to all section winners! Awards and certificate winners will be announced in due course. We hope you enjoyed the contest and will join us for the CW DX contest next Febuary 22/23rd 2020. EI5DI and GW0ETF - Adjudicators

Very dissapointing. Lets hope for better during the next running of this contest. -- G6MC Poor condx -- G7T Possibly the worst condx I've ever experienced during a contest in my 15 years licensed! 20 unusable at times. Without the 40m Sp.E opening on Sat PM my score would have been so much lower. Conditions can only get better from here! -- G9Y Hard going condition poor -- GM0V What happened to all the stations. This is the only station that I heard and I managed to work him. Spent a total of 4 hours over the 24 hours. The flare certainly killed the bands for me -- GM4UYZ Very poor conditions struggled to get my 5W heard! -- GW4W DQRM on 40m on Sun.morning. -- GW5NF It is hard to do a contest with a sheepdog sat on your lap!!. However it was a bit strange and noisy but enjoyable. I will never win but I can try!! -- GW7BZR Very poor conditions and no 20m antenna so it was a token 12 hour entry with about 8.5 hrs in the chair. -- GW9J ICOM-7200; 100 watt; 40/80 trap dipol resp. 2 element SteppIR both 12 m over ground.
